Iffley Road
Iffley Road (British Crafted Runwear) was founded by a husband and wife team, both runners since their schooldays.
They realised how hard it was to find the kind of kit they would actually enjoy to wear for running. It was either shiny, bright and shapeless; or lycra and skin-tight. So they set out to create running gear that was as technically good as anything on the market but which would be tailored in muted colours with a lovely soft old-school feel; running clothes that performed well, but also looked stylish. They wanted gear they would be happy to wear after running; coffee with friends or a drink in the pub.
Iffley Road is based in West London and their collection is made in Portugal, using carefully selected fabrics from European mills.
Their name comes from the Iffley Road track in Oxford where Roger Bannister, paced by Chris Brasher and Chris Chataway, ran the first sub four-minute mile on May 6th 1954. They chose the name to evoke the great heritage of British running.
Iffley Road strongly believes running improves lives in every way and aims to encourage seasoned runners and inspire others to take up this exhilarating sport.
