Harold Tillman CBE and Dylan Jones, Chair of the 2012 Menswear Committee, hosted a dinner and drinks reception at Derrière in Paris on Sunday 22nd January 2012. The event marked the announcement of London Collections: Men – a brand new menswear showcase, set to launch in June 2012.

Exclusive backstage images from Menswear Day at London Fashion Week, autumn/winter 2012. London Collections: Men is a development of the Menswear Day at LFW which has grown in stature and content despite sitting outside of the traditional menswear calendar.

Looks from the six designers awarded BFC NEWGEN MEN sponsored by Topman for spring/summer 2013. The scheme began in September 2009, building on TOPMAN and Fashion East’s successful MAN initiative. It has since become instrumental in raising the profile of emerging British designers.

Four exceptionally talented menswear designers have been awarded Fashion Forward sponsorship, giving them access to business support provided by the BFC as well as a cash prize to assist in showing their collection at the inaugural London Collections: Men 15th -17th June 2012.

HRH The Prince of Wales officially launched London Collections: Men on Thursday 14th June 2012 at St James’s Palace. He was introduced to London’s menswear designers and championed British craft, skills, textiles and his Campaign for Wool in his speech.

For spring/summer 2013, London kick started the menswear calendar with a showcase of British brands and businesses embedded in a cultural programme. See guests from events including Savile Row Open House, the Disturbing London party at Selfridges hosted by Tinie Tempah and the GQ dinner co-hosted by Dylan Jones, Harold Tillman and Italo Zucchelli.

The Prime Minister, David Cameron hosted a reception at 10 Downing Street on Monday 7th January to celebrate the launch of London Collections: Men. Guests included the best of British designers, brand leaders from our most renowned fashion labels and some of fashion’s key commentators.

On Thursday 18th April Danny Lopez, HM Consul General in New York, hosted a cocktail reception at The British Residence to celebrate British menswear and to announce the Show Schedule for London Collections: Men. Guests included menswear designers and members of the industry.
