Sarah is originally from a small, rural village in North Wales. She attended the University of Leeds in 2009 and further graduated from Kingston University in 2014 with a Masters Degree in Fashion design.

Sarah Hellen’s menswear is an amalgamation of contemporary design with traditional rural skills reflecting the rich history of arts and crafts in Wales. Sarah commissions and collaborates with a variety of independent craftspeople across her home country including a basket weaver, slate jeweller, metal artist as well as hand knitters and woollen mills in order to develop a collection of garments and accessories that have a real sense of history and tradition in a modern context. Sarah has created a strong sense of narrative throughout her work and is keen to promote the talented artisans she has worked with along the way. She intends to develop her brand to act as a platform to revive rural craft industries whilst continuing to focus on using materials sourced locally to Wales and the UK.
