GARDEROBE

DESIGNER NAMES: Chris Mossom and Sasha Rushworth
BACKGROUND: Chris is originally from Newcastle, and Sasha from Russia. They freelance for numerous brands, including Jaeger, Super Dry, Aubin & Wills, and Hentsch Man amongst others. Chris studied at Northumbria University, Sasha at UCA.
IDEAL CLIENT: “Informed by what’s happening but marches to the beat of his own drum. He knows what he wants and enjoys style and beauty not trend. He loves something because he just does and not because he should.”
TRADEMARK PIECE: “Engineered art deco cable knit, voluminous outerwear.”
THE COLLECTION: “Early Bauhaus movements and modernist art deco London.”
TIPS FOR THE MAN-ABOUT-TOWN: “Everywhere, he's not confined to one place, there’s always so much to see and it's never in one place. London is a big world and every crevice holds something to discover.”
CULTURAL INFLUENCES: “We are constantly absorbing everything we see and listen to and without even knowing it; it often informs our subconscious, leading us in a certain direction or stirring inspiration. After all, fashion is about representing the spirit of the time and time is represented in all that’s going on in the world, be it music, film, art or technology.”
PLANS FOR 2013: “Adventure, creating the beginning of strong partnerships with stores we admire and relate with, and developing a beautiful SS14 collection.”
